We did not originally intend to function as a recruitment and skillsmatch service, but, having gathered together over one hundred artists, performers and media professionals into a database we like to call nexus, it seems rather a waste not to advertise their talents to the world!
At the moment, we are happy just to let this aspect of ghostfeather's operations continue as it has done for the past three years: we're not an employment agency, we're just well connected and we're happy to put you in touch with people whose work we know and trust. Eventually, we hope to make this into part of our business, and become the world's first trans-media recruitment service, but for now the system functions more like an unofficial guild: we will only vouch for practitioners whose work we are proud to be associated with!
Two-by-two...
For over three years, ghostfeather has actively pursued what might be called a "Noah's Ark" policy. We've gathered together at least one of every sort of media maker, artist, technician, performer, creator etc., with the intention of creating a skills and resource base that could respond to the most outlandish creative brief.
In most cases, we have numerous practitioners to choose from in each discipline, most of whom we have worked with, though many we have approached due to the high standard of their work or a particular reputation for excellence of some sort. Many are professionals who were drawn to us by the notion of hybridmedia: the chance to experiment & collaborate with practitioners from creative fields outside of their own...
